Getting started

1. Add a show — use + Log Show for one-by-one or Bulk Add to paste a list of titles. We match against TMDB so posters and metadata are free.
2. Rate seasons individually — overall stars are useful, but per-season ratings show your taste arc.
3. Set Watch Intent — flag things you watched for work (Comp Research, Staffing, Marketing Research, etc.) so you can filter them out of casual stats later.
4. Follow members — friends' recent logs show up on your home page once you follow them.

Watch Races

A Watch Race pits you against one or more mutuals on a TV show, on a clock you pick. Whoever logs the most episodes inside the race window wins. It's the social-pressure shortcut for finally finishing the show your group chat won't shut up about.

Starting one

• From any mutual's Compare page, or from the show detail page if you both have it tracked.
• Pick a title, an end date, and one or more mutuals to invite. Only people who follow you back can be invited.
• The race auto-adds the show to your library as Currently Watching if it wasn't already.

Scoring

• Window only: episodes you log between the race's start and end count. Anything backdated outside the window is ignored — useful if you want to start a race for a show you've already watched half of.
• Tiebreaker: if you and an opponent have the same episode count, whoever is further into the show (higher season/episode) ranks higher.
• Counts are live: if you remove an episode log (from the race page or the show detail page), your race count drops accordingly. Nothing is cached.

Notifications

• Your opponents get one push per binge, not one per episode. We dedupe race-progress notifications inside a ~4-hour window to keep DMs sane.
• If you go quiet for a few hours and then log again, the dedupe window resets — your next log re-fires the ping. So a comeback is still noticed.
• Two simultaneous races on the same show against different opponents are independent — both groups get pinged for the same log.

Fixing a mis-log

• Right after logging, a Undo link appears in the success banner for ~10 seconds.
• If you notice the mis-log later, the race page shows a Last logged: SxEy · Remove chip in the log panel. Remove takes it back off the leaderboard and out of your library.

Finishing early

• The race auto-ends the moment any participant logs the last aired episode of the show. No need to wait for the clock to run out.
• The first racer to hit the finale is recorded as the winner — even if two people finish the same evening, whoever's log lands first takes it.
• When the race ends early, every other racer gets a race_finished notification with a link to the race page.

Leaving

• You can leave a race at any time — you drop off the leaderboard but the show stays in your library so you can keep watching at your own pace.
• The race itself continues for the remaining participants, even if everyone leaves (it just becomes a ghost race in the listing).
